Jackie Robinson

Jackie Robinson was a man with great characteristics. He was a great athlete at UCLA. He played 4 sports there and was amazing at each one. You could say he was the best athlete of all time. Another one of his great characteristics was his courage to be the first black American to break the color barrier in baseball. Today, I was watching SportsCentury on ESPN Classic. While I was watching it I was thinking that he really did change baseball. If you think about Hank Aaron, he might not have been able to play if it wasn't for Jackie. Also, I was thinking how it changed me. What I was thinking was how he was driven to do what he had to, even if it was going to be hard, to change the world for what is right. That drives me to do the same. If you want to read more go to "ESPN.com".

It's great to read that Jackie Robinson inspires you in your own life. So often great people in history remain something we read about in a book instead of looking at what they achieved and asking ourselves how we could apply it to our own life. Thanks for including the pictures, too. Makes him come to life even more.
